Job Title: Junior Quantity Surveyor

Department: Quantity Surveying / Commercial
Reports To: GM / Project Manager

Job Summary

The Junior Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial and project teams in cost estimation, measurement, and financial management of construction projects. This role is suitable for a graduate or entry-level Quantity Surveyor seeking practical experience in project costing and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

– Assist in preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender documents.

– Take site measurements and prepare quantity take-offs.

– Support cost control, budgeting, and expenditure tracking for projects.

– Assist in preparing valuations, progress reports, and final accounts.

– Help monitor variations and claims under the supervision of a senior QS.

– Liaise with site teams, contractors, and suppliers as required.

– Maintain proper documentation and records of project costs.

Qualifications & Requirements

– Bachelor’s degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

– Graduate Quantity Surveyor (NYSC pending or completed).

– Basic knowledge of construction costing and contract administration.

– Familiarity with QS software and Microsoft Excel is an advantage.

– Willingness to learn and ability to work in a team environment.

– Good communication and numerical skills.
